Skateboarding Goat 118 Feet March 4 - Goat Skateboarding World Record - A goat from Fort Myers, Fla., now has a Guinness world title after setting the record for "Farthest Distance Skateboarding by a Goat". According to the animal's owner, the goat figured out how to get on the skateboard – and then they watched to see how far it could ride. The record-breaking ride reportedly took 25 seconds.

Happie, a Nigerian dwarf cross goat, has just set a new Guinness World Record for skateboarding. According to the Huffington Post, the Guinness World Record organization had to establish a new record category — Farthest Distance Skateboarding by a Goat — to accommodate Happie’s unique talents.

Guinness PR representative Jamie Panas said:

“For new record categories, the records management team needs to make sure the record is standardized – so everyone could attempt from an even playing field.”

The goat skateboarded for 25 seconds and covered a distance of 118 feet in Fort Meyers Florida. The record setting run was made last March. Melody Cooke, the goat’s owner, said: “She figured out how to get on and then I was just like, ‘Whoa, this is amazing… My goat can skateboard, let me see how far I can go with this. My mom saw something special going on and said we should try to get her in Guinness.’ ”
