Six 1 million Powerball gas station

Six 1 million Powerball gas station, Six Powerball winners sold at one store, Six winning Powerball tickets were all bought at one Arizona gas station last week. Organizers say the winning numbers were all individually selected and so far, only one ticket has been redeemed . They're also not sure if the other five winning tickets were bought by one person or five different peopleSix winning $1 million Powerball tickets were bought at a QuikTrip gas station in Glendale. Only one person has claimed their ticket since Wednesday’s drawing.

The five other tickets are out there, somewhere.

“What we do know is these are not Quick Pick tickets,” said Karen Bach with the Arizona Lottery. “They are individually selected numbers on a play slip or, in this case, multiple play slips.”

Bach said this is definitely a unique situation, but the tickets are legitimate.

Moore plays the lottery often and suspects something bizarre happened at the gas station.

“I don’t know if they had just a general slip that they filled out and someone else used it,” he said. “The odds of that are significantly high.”

3TV spoke to the manager of the QuikTrip. Off camera he told us there is only one winner. A man bought six tickets with five identical numbers. However, the Powerball numbers were each different.

It’s not the same story we got from a lottery official.

“We can’t speculate,” Bach said. “We do not know who has those tickets in their possession. Until we have them we have no way of knowing.”

The QuikTrip will get $30,000 for their share of the six winning tickets when all of the tickets are claimed.

Since January, there have been 10 winning $1 million second-prize Powerball tickets sold in Arizona.
Most of us have thought about winning the lottery, but for so many it’s just a dream.
“I would retire,” said lottery player Mike Moore.

Since January, there have been 10 winning $1 million second-prize Powerball tickets sold in Arizona.
The next $2 Powerball Draw is Saturday, April 28, for an estimated jackpot of $40 million.
Wednesday night's Powerball draw resulted in eight $1 million Powerball second prize tickets, six of which were sold in Arizona.

All six $1 million winning tickets were purchased at a QuikTrip located at 6702 W. Glendale Ave. in Glendale. The winning numbers were 4-25-29-34-43 PB 29.

One of the six winning tickets was claimed yesterday by a Glendale resident who wished to remain anonymous. Arizona Lottery executives are still eagerly awaiting the other tickets to be claimed.

These six wins bring Arizona's count of $1 million second prize Powerball wins to a total of 10, since the new $2 Powerball game launched on January 15, 2012. To date, Arizona winners have included two Tucson residents, a Phoenix resident and a couple from Fort Mohave.

"It is incredible for Arizona to have six $1 million second prize Powerball wins in one night, and even more astounding that all six tickets were purchased from the same retailer," said Karen Bach, assistant director of budget, products and communications for the Arizona Lottery. "Arizona is tied with New York for having the most $2 Powerball second prize winners since the game launched and we expect to be congratulating more Arizona millionaires this year than ever before."

The new $2 Powerball game offers many appealing features to players, including better overall odds and jackpots that grow bigger, faster. The starting jackpot doubled from $20 million to $40 million and the second prize for matching all five numbers, without the Powerball, increased from $200,000 to $1 million.

The next $2 Powerball draw is Saturday, April 28 for an estimated jackpot of $40 million.
