Tebow would be popular there, having played college football for the University of Florida. But Miami's Matt Moore is actually a decent starter, and David Garrard just signed with the team as their likely backup. Why sign Tebow just to sit him on the bench as a third-stringer?
Others have opined that New England would sign him and utilize him as a TE or FB. But Tebow would not be satisfied in such a role, and I doubt Tom Brady wants him on the team since Tim would take a lot of the spotlight off of Tom.
No, Tim Tebow is probably going to be a Jacksonville Jaguar next season. He played high school football in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, just south of Jacksonville. As previously mentioned, he was a Florida Gator in college, and Gainesville is quite a bit closer to Jacksonville than it is to Miami. Jaguars owner Shad Khan has expressed interest in acquiring Tebow in the past. And Jacksonville definitely needs a QB—rookie Blaine Gabbert struggled last season, and newly acquired backup Chad Henne has yet to finish a season with a passer rating higher than 79.0.
