Matt McConaughey, Matt McConaughey Dishes on 'Ghosts of Girlfriends Past' took to his MySpace Celebrity blog Wednesday to vent about the "ghosts of girlfriends past." But don't worry, Penélope Cruz and Ashley Judd – these exes were all strictly fictional.
The 38-year-old actor – who's expecting his first child with girlfriend Camila Alves – said he's also tackling the issues of "love, women and family" for his new role in the adult comedy Ghosts of Girlfriends Past.
"It's cool being in a very edgy comedy where the dialogue and situations skirt that R-rated innuendo," he wrote. "My character ... is cynical about the promises of [marriage] ... Until all those damn ghosts of my girlfriends come visit me and scare the you know what outta me. Hopefully I'll make it out alive."
The movie, currently filming in Boston, costars Jennifer Garner, whom McConaughey describes as an "elegant, down-home lady" and "a real pro." And soon he'll start filming scenes with Michael Douglas, who plays McConaughey's "playboy uncle."
The actor concluded his stream-of-consciousness post by wishing fans a happy Easter.
"Time for forgiveness, family, new beginnings and rebirth, college basketball (let's go Texas) and lotsa food," he wrote. "All sounds good to me."
