Louboutin is set to reveal his version of the slippers this summer, and they could be in stores by the time of the rerelease of the cartoon on DVDChristian Louboutin is putting his magic touch on Cinderella’s glass slippers! The French designer was commissioned by Disney to create his own version of the iconic shoes for the classic cartoon’s DVD re-launch this summer, WWD reports. “I have been so lucky to have crossed paths with Cinderella, an icon who is so emblematic to the shoe world as well as the dream world,” he said. The slippers won’t be revealed until July, but we’re guessing Louboutin’s update on the fairytale footwear will include red soles and sexy stiletto heels. What will Prince Charming think?
Christian Louboutin is giving Cinderella’s glass slippers some sole — red soles that is! To celebrate the re-release of Disney’s Cinderella on Blu-ray, the footwear designer will be giving the iconic shoes a bibbidi-bobbidi-Louboutin makeover. Christian says of his magical creation: “I have been so lucky to have crossed paths with Cinderella, an icon who is so emblematic to the shoe world as well as the dream world.” We're beyond happy about his announcement and kinda surprised he didn't do this sooner. Now if only there was a charming prince to go along with the shoe!
A pair of Louboutins are certainly the stuff that dreams are made of in Florida, so its no surprise that the hallowed house has announced its intention to take on the most sought-after and sigh-inducing shoes of all time.
