Reported by MyFoxNY, Elderly sisters fight off carjacker:

Police in Hamilton, N.J. say two elderly sisters, aged 94 and 93, fought off an armed 27-year-old man who tried to rob them and steal their car.
Sergio Fernando Solorzano-Vasquez was jailed Monday and charged with robbery and carjacking. Police say he jumped into their car and hid in the backseat when they went into a CVS store on Sunday morning.
When they came out, and got back into the car, Solorzano-Vasquez allegedly made his move. Police say he started swinging his knife and threatening the women, but he might not have expected what happened next.
Police say instead of simply giving in, the 94-year-old driver swung her arm back to hit and block the suspect while the 93-year-old sister got out and began to scream for help.
Apparently realizing that it wasn’t going to be an easy score, the man took off.
The attacker was seen running away from the scene on three different surveillance cameras at a gas station across the street. He was later located and taken into custody.
As for the two sisters, they are doing fine and don’t know what all the fuss is all about. They declined a request for an interview and asked for their names to remain private.

RedState - Last night in Wisconsin the state Republican Party tried a few parliamentary maneuvers to drive tea party members from the ranks of the GOP. For reasons I cannot begin to fathom, the Wisconsin GOP seems willing to sacrifice tea party energy in the Scott Walker recall in order to save Tommy Thompson’s Senate bid.

In Indiana, Eric Cantor has weighed in on behalf of Barack Obama’s favorite Republican Senator, Dick Lugar. Just as every major conservative group lines up with Richard Mourdock, Eric Cantor begins urging Democrats to turn out for Lugar.

But Indiana and Wisconsin are not the only playing field. More and more reporters are rumbling that Eric Cantor is going to actively engage in House races to combat the tea party. He wants a more docile, pliable, controllable caucus — one that will do as it is told by its party leaders, not its constituents.
The proof of this is in North Carolina’s 8th Congressional District.

If the Tea Party wants to fight it out instead of retreating, it needs to support Dr. Scott Keadle in North Carolina.

Frankly, given just how terribly Rene Elmers has treated the tea party that worked so hard to get her elected, going all in for Dr. Keadle might also be somewhat cathartic.

"They say that they hold no animosity toward this guy but hope they never see him again," Det. Robert Miktus of the Hamilton Twp. Police Dept. said.
