Aurora Miracle Baby - Mother who witnessed the Aurora shooting tragedy, gave birth to a baby boy on Tuesday, while the father of the baby remains in a medically induced coma
Tragedies strike, we lose our loved ones, but life still manages to go on. After the terrible Aurora shooting tragedy, a mother-to-be, who was present at the movie on that terrible night, gave birth to a baby boy.
The baby boy is being termed as the miracle Aurora baby, as his mother made through the night unscratched, being nine months pregnant. However, the child`s father was not that lucky as he took a bullet and now remains in a medically induced coma.
The miracle Aurora baby was born at 7:11 a.m. local time, on Tuesday at the University of Colorado Hospital and he is named Hugo Jackson Medley. But despite it being a happy moment for the family, it is a very sad one as the child`s father, Caleb Medley is in a medically induced coma and there are no chances of him, as of yet, of coming back to his senses. The miracle baby`s mother, Katie Caleb, escaped the Colorado movie theater attack and she managed to stay calm despite the calamity which she had gone through. According to the reports, both mother and child are doing well but the father is still fighting for his life.
Katie and Caleb were both high school sweethearts who started dating during their senior year in the small town of Florence, Colo., and wanted to get married as soon as they graduated. They got married after graduating from high school and they then moved to Denver, where Caleb could realize his dream of becoming a stand-up comedian. He had just started to get some good offers as a stand-up comedian but unfortunately, life played a terrible joke with him before he could get anywhere.
Caleb Medley took a bullet to his head on the night of the Colorado movie shooting, and since then he has not come back to his senses. According to the details provided, as soon as Caleb was recovered from the movie theater, he was put in the back of a police cruiser and was driven to the University of Colorado hospital. He has lost his eye, suffered brain-damage and no one can say that when he will recover from the medically-induced coma. Katie and Caleb`s family has set up a website to collect donations to cover for Caleb`s medical expenses and both of them are not covered under insurance.
