Sunday, TMZ reported that the single mom of two boys has put some distance between her kid's father and the children by fleeing to Illinois.
Once there, the MTV star from the third season filed papers in her hometown of Lake Country. The 18-year-old claims that she provides 100% of the care for her twin boys. Therefore, Jennifer petitioned the court to give her sole custody of her children.
Jennifer Del Rio and Joshua Smith (shown here) were both arrested on separate occasions on charges of domestic abuse. Several other stars from the popular show have gone down that dark road. Hopefully, Joshua and Jennifer do what is right by the kids.
The "16 and Pregnant" star says she fled Florida because she and Joshua Smith have a history of domestic abuse.
It seems they can't get along with putting up their dukes in front of the kids. Having gotten a little older since joining the MTV series, Del Rio understands that what she and Joshua do in front of the kids could have long-term nasty results.
